In September, McLaughlin Furnace Group broke ground in Avilla's new industrial park located off of State Road 8 next to Oak Farm Montessori School. The new 47,500-square-foot building will almost triple McLaughlin's current workshop space as well as include new offices, break room, and workout facility for employees. The expected completion of the building is Spring 2020.
Over the past 12 years, McLaughlin Furnace Group has become a leader in the heat-treating industry — providing small to international companies with custom designed heat treat furnaces utilizing cutting edge technology. Since 2007, Jeff McLaughlin, owner and founder of McLaughlin Furnace Group has provided global service to the heat treat industry within the quaint town of Avilla.
Currently McLaughlin Furnace Group employs 35+ residents from the surrounding counties, and this number is only expected to grow within the upcoming years. McLaughlin Furnace Group has planted its roots in Noble County, and it is with great excitement they plan to expand their business in their hometown.
Leatherman Construction and the Town of Avilla have both been more than accommodating through this transition process. There is plentiful room for expansion and growth within the new industrial park for incoming and local business.
