Vesco: A McLaughlin Furnace Group 2020 Update
Hot zone
It has only been three years since Jeff McLaughlin purchased Vesco and formed McLaughlin Furnace Group, and a lot of growth and continued development has taken place. Although Vesco and McLaughlin are in two different states, Connecticut and Indiana respectively, both locations have a commitment to quality and standards that have helped them thrive together. Here is a quick update on the east coast division.
With a new building purchased and ongoing renovations to better suit manufacturing needs, Vesco is continuously advancing. Vesco is also heading towards greater efficiency, more space, reorganization and a whole new office look with the new renovations. But it is not just the design and infrastructure that’s witnessing major updates. Currently made up of highly qualified individuals, Vesco is steadily adding more and more jobs, and recently hired field services technicians, mechanical pump techs, and an office manager.
Established in 1983, Vesco began as a vacuuming engineering company. After it was purchased in 2017, the legal name became Vesco-McLaughlin, and it has undergone an impressive evolution. Although it is under the same parent company, Vesco works on different core products than McLaughlin. Vesco is primarily focused on vacuum furnaces and vacuum pumps, but also expands its services outside the heat treat industry. Most of the work revolves around vacuum services, whether it is servicing and repairing vacuum pumps or servicing vacuum pumping systems.
Vesco sells new pumps, used pumps, rental pumps, repair kits, spare parts, offers complete rebuilds—and the services don’t stop there. Vesco can service any kind of vacuum pump. They also service vacuum furnace controls, hot zone repairs, and build completely new hot zones. They offer helium leak detections, sell and service any component on any brand of vacuum furnace, and even build custom vacuum furnaces for clients.
What makes Vesco different? The wide array of furnaces for sale, the fact that it works specifically on pumping systems (does not even have to be a furnace), and its rapid and strong expansion allows Vesco to satisfy a wide range of customers all over North America. Growth is found in all the fields, whether it be the continuous increase in the inventory of vacuum pump parts and all sizes of moly (a common and popular insulation in vacuum furnaces), an increase in employees, vacuum furnace rebuilds and services, or an expanded customer base across the US, Vesco is creating a firm footprint in the industry. With its vast knowledge of a wide array of pumps and control systems, Vesco continues to impress both its committed and new customers. It prioritizes and values the quality of their product, understanding that it is a key driver in customer relations. Its vast inventory of components, the longevity of the company, and the extremely knowledgeable service technicians are all constantly helping customers out of whatever pinches they may be in.
Vesco is seizing its opportunity for growth and heading firmly in the direction of becoming a more prominent household name.
